Privacy notice for parents
Last updated 31 October 2026
In short: Bapu's apps have no accounts and no adverts, and we collect nothing about your child. Progress stays in your own browser. We keep only anonymous counts of how often the apps are used, and not even those if your browser asks not to be tracked.
Which apps this covers
This notice covers every Bapu's site and app:
- bapus.uk, this website
- Bapu's Little Learners at learners.bapus.uk
- Bapu's Arabic School at arabic.bapus.uk
- Bapu's Arcade at arcade.bapus.uk
What we do not collect
- There are no accounts and no sign-up, so we never ask for a name, email address, age or password.
- There are no adverts and no advertising or tracking companies in any of the apps.
- We collect nothing about your child: no names, photos, voice recordings, location or learning history reach us.
Progress stays on your device
Stickers, lesson progress, trophies, settings and saved drawings are kept in your browser's own storage on your phone, tablet or computer. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser's data for a Bapu's site deletes them, and they do not follow you to another device.
Anonymous usage counts
To see whether the apps are being used, each app sends a small count to our own counter at stats.bapus.uk. It records that an app was opened (at most once a day per device) and that something happened, such as a lesson being finished or a game being started. Cloudflare adds the country the request came from.
The count carries no name, no identifier for you or your device, and no cookie. A note kept on your device stops the same device being counted twice in a day. If your browser has Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control switched on, nothing is sent at all.
Hosting and page views
Cloudflare hosts the Bapu's sites. Like any web host, it handles the technical details of each request, such as your IP address, to deliver the page and keep the service secure. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page views for us without using cookies and without identifying visitors.
Playing on separate phones in the Arcade
When you play a board game on separate phones, the Arcade's room server at rooms.bapus.uk holds the room code, the player names and pictures you choose, and the game moves. It keeps these only while the room exists and deletes them after three hours with no activity. Use a nickname rather than a full name if you prefer.
Speaking practice in Arabic School
Some Arabic School exercises ask the learner to speak. These use the speech recognition built into your browser, not a Bapu's service. In some browsers, such as Chrome, the browser sends the audio to its maker (Google) to turn it into text. We never receive the audio. If you would rather it was not sent, skip the speaking exercises or use a browser that recognises speech on the device.
Recitation audio and fonts
Quran recitation audio and the fonts the sites use are served from our own domain, so loading them does not contact any other company.
Who is responsible
Bapu's is the data controller for these sites. Bapu's was founded by Mohammad Qadri and is built by AI Venture Studio Ltd. Because we hold nothing that identifies you or your child, there is no personal record for us to look up, correct or delete; everything personal stays on your own device, where you can remove it at any time.
Changes to this notice
If how the apps handle data changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
